Memories

We all have them.  Memories.  Some good, some bad, some indifferent.

I browsed through some old pictures today and my mind flooded with memories of my childhood, trips, appearance and weight fluctuations, my family and ministry – As I looked at each photo my mind immediately would make judgment calls on the picture….was it a positive reminder or a painful memory?  Some pictures would cause me to pause with a tear in my eye while others would stir up a quick sense of frustration.

The definition of memory is this:

1.  The faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information.

2.  Something remembered from the past; a recollection.

I had a gentle reminder today to focus on the “positives” of my past, the good reports of yesterday, the memories that I can hold onto with great appreciation.

Take time to view/value your life’s photo’s of joy and blessing!
