To stop something by definition means to finish or end.
Ephesians encourages us to put a STOP to hurting ourselves (and others) and make a fresh start in our acts of kindness.
Ephesians 5 says – 31 Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don’t yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude. 32 Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.
What can you stop saying?
Who could you stop hurting?
Do you believe less bitterness in your life could ultimately bless you personally?
STOP! Let’s all make an effort as we start 2014 to substitute our frustrations and hurt with the love of Christ and mercy!
Is there someone on your job, in your family, your church, neighborhood that could benefit from you responding/reacting more Christ-like?
I know it’s not easy, especially if you feel you were wronged unfairly…..BUT let’s STOP justifying our anger/offense and let’s respond with grace like Christ has responded to us!
Let’s do this!! This is our year!! STOP it!
